MAACA Thank You Letter

  To all who came to the party:
Thank you for attending the MAACA social party last Saturday. We sincerely enjoyed your presence and hope that you all had fun as well. We want to thank all the volunteers who made this event possible and we appreciate everyone's support for MAACA throughout the years. Without you, MAACA would not have been able to develop as quickly as it has. I want to thanks our guest Doug Oliver for his very kind donation and people who bought raffle tickets and participated in auction! I want thanks to Overland Park City Councilman Fair Farassati, Company21st Century Investment, B&V, Garmin, Burns & McDonnell, Kiewit, Waddell & Reed, and Sprint employees for joining us. We also appreciate the supports from the community leaders from MAACA partner countries Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Russia, Laos, Pakistan, Israel, Bangladesh, Thailand, India, Turkey, China, Vietnam, Korea, and Iran. We're looking forward to continuously working with all of you in the future to make Kansas City a culturally-diverse community for all. MAACA hosts many social events, in addition to the Asian Cultural Festival, each year. Please join us at our future events.

MAACA Award Announcement

  Mid-America Asian Culture Association Steve Awards Special Presentation at Kauffman Foundation Conference Center at December6,2016.Overland park city council Rick Collins, kansas City Mayor Pro Tem Scott Wagner, give award to MAACA board member and chairperson Carol Wei.

The Mid-America Asian Culture Association has received the national 2016 Silver Stevie Award for Organization of the Year in the Government or Non-Profit- 10 or Less Employees category at United States.Carol Wei, founder and President of the Mid-America Asian Culture Association, has been honored with the national 2016 Gold Stevie Award for Female Innovator of the Year in the Non-Profit Organization¨C10 or Less Employees category.

About the Stevie Awards for Women in Business
The national Stevie Awards for Women in Business is a highly-esteemed program that recognizes female entrepreneurs, executives and leaders and their organizations in select categories. Named for the Greek word for ¡°crowned,¡± the 2016 Stevie Awards winners were announced Friday, November 18, 2016.
