Meet our contestants
Miss Asia USA Contest is an education program helping women and teens develop life skills, find new interests and discover new opportunities. It will help Women receive recognition for improving themselves and the Asian American Community. This event will provide opportunities to win scholarships, develop poise, confidence, stage presence, interview skills, and speaking ability. Our expectation is that this competition will greatly influence the cultural lives of American international females and introduce more people to know about our beautiful Kansas and Missouri state.
#1 Soniya Pathak
Soniya Pathak grew up in Nepal and she currently doing her undergraduate in Computer Science. At the same college, she works as an admissions ambassador where she gets to meet new people. She is also involved in different organizations on campus such as the international club and student government. Her hobbies include playing basketball, dancing and traveling. She considers herself spontaneous adventurous and determined.
#2 Tian Hao
Tian Hao is a first-year MFA student for Stage Management in University of Missouri- Kansas City. She loves art, singing, and dancing. She strives to be a role model and use her singing talent and kind personality to effect and help more people. She came to the US alone in 2016 after she graduated from college in China. in addition to this, she also volunteers in many association events.
#3 Mahreen Ansari
Ansari Mahreen is a freshman pursuing a degree in Political Science and Pre Law at the University of Missouri—Kansas City. She currently a writer for the online women’s publication Her Campus. She also a part of the Persian Student Association, College Democrats, Pride Alliance, Pakistani Student Association, Pre Law Society, and Sister Circle. She has aspirations of one day becoming a human rights attorney to help people in need.
#4 Paniz Borzoofard
Paniz Borzoofard graduated from The University of Kansas with a degree in biotechnology. She currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health Administration and Leadership and working as a Clinical Trial Specialist at PRA Health Sciences. She plans on attending medical school in the fall of 2020 and doing what she always dreamed of doing: helping people with their medical needs. She loves music (playing instruments, dancing, and singing), and traveling. Her dream is to travel to different parts of the world and serve as a medical professional while spreading peace, love, and kindness.
#5 Cynthia Liu
Cynthia Liu is a lover of performing and fine arts. She has extensive training in both, particularly opera and ballet. At school, she is an avid member of the speech and debate team, as well as a leader in CARE club, which provides volunteer opportunities for high school students to take action against animal cruelty and help clean up the environment, two issues very close to her. She is driven and motivated, ready to go to extreme lengths for issues she believes in and fight to make a difference in the world.
#6 Amanda Zhu
Amanda Zhu is visionary and inherently curious; she always wants to amend human society and knowledge. Science, and more specifically, astrophysics, has always fascinated her. She loves the arts, including writing, visual art, debate, and music. She aspires to improve the world and has already taken steps to do so. She strives to share new, creative ideas and instill a more dynamic future.
#7 Christine Pham
Christine Pham is a student, barista, and leader; She currently a junior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. One of her favorite activities is volunteering, whether it be serving the needy at food kitchens, reading to the sick at children’s hospitals, or training disabled kids at soccer camps. She loves singing, painting, exercising, and traveling. She enjoys going outside of her comfort zone and trying new things and meeting new people. In the future, she plans on majoring in Chemical Engineering at KU and attending Pharmacy school.
#8 Imary Rose Ahorro
Imary Rose Ahorro is born and raised in the United States but Filipina at heart. Mabuhay, Imary Rose Ahorro is a 16 years old junior high school from Manhattan Kansas. She is proud to represent her motherland the beautiful islands of the Philippines! Her platform is Autism Awareness since this topic is very close to her heart, her little brother is affected by this disorder. She wants everyone to know that people with Autism have unique strengths and differences but never be less.
#9 Parisa Karimi Jabali
About Parisa Karimi Jabali: Art is her language, it is the way that she expresses herself and her uniqueness to the world. She said she’s here for a purpose, to stand in solidarity, to empower, and to show the strength and beauty that all the women possess. She left her entire life behind in her home country Iran and started a journey 2 years ago to come here to be with her Han solo.
#10 Mahoua Ray
Mahoua Ray has been participating in beauty pageants since the age of 15. She graduated Valedictorian from medical school at the age of 23. She would like to reach the pinnacle with hard work and dedication.
She believes she is a global citizen though she is deeply connected to her roots and intensely fond of Midwest living. Trained as an Anesthesiology and Pain Management Physician in Chicago, her motto is to live each day to the fullest. As Director of Pain management for many facilities, she does not always get the time to play Golf and cook Indian delicacies.
#11 Supawan Kincheloe
Supawan Kincheloe loves to serve communities and help others. Empathy, Justice, and Balance are her mottoes. Her goal in life is committing to life-long learning in nursing. Therefore, she will pursue her master and doctoral degree in nursing while serving her patients at the bedside. Being a good example for her daughter and younger generations are the biggest part of her passions.
#12 Bhavna Namjoshi
Bhavna Namjoshi is an Actor, Film Producer & Spiritual Healer; she has been a homemaker for past 15 years and proud mother of two young kids (13 and 9). She loves dancing, singing, acting, traveling and making new friends. She has a Master’s Degree in Travel and Tourism. She is always enthusiastic about learning new things that interest her. Her mantra in life is to “Try your level best and leave to God the rest”
#13 Neelam Singhal
Neelam Singhal plays the movement, pauses the memories, stops the pain, rewinds happiness and enjoys life. She feels shes not perfect but she knows the fact that she is real. Teachers are the catalysts of change and the molders of the mind. With this in mind, she prepares her students for the world ahead of them. She believes in churning out this opportunity to share her knowledge to unite and strengthen the citizens of the world. In the future, she has a plan to open a school for those who can’t afford it.
